Making a video
Making a video
Create a project from AI Video Sales → New, then work through five steps in order.
1. Add your material
Enter the product name, price, currency and description, then add reference images. Images can come from either of two places:
- Uploaded from your computer
- Pulled in from a product you have already registered
Choose reference images that show the shape and colour of the product accurately. Heavily edited photographs, or shots with several products in frame, are what make the output inconsistent.
2. The script is written
The talking points and the time given to each are built from your material. You can edit the script directly on screen.
Where to spend your editing effort, in order:
- 01The opening lineIt decides whether anyone keeps watching. Start with the viewer's problem, not with the product name.
- 02Numbers"Saves 30 minutes a day" beats "significantly reduces". Never put in a number that is not true.
- 03The closing actionGive exactly one thing to do after watching.
Each scene in the script has a length assigned to it. Lengthening the text throws the timing out, so use auto-adjust timing on screen before moving on.
3. Answer the questions
While the script is being written, anything that could not be decided comes back as a question — whether you sell to consumers or businesses, whether there is a warranty, and so on.
Do not leave these blank. Anything unanswered is filled with generic wording, and the result is a video indistinguishable from anyone else's.
4. Take the estimate
The credits required are calculated from the length and the generation method, and that many are reserved. Everything up to here can be redone freely. If your balance is short, top it up at this point.
Editing the script invalidates the estimate and you will need a new one. Work in the order finalise the script, then estimate.
5. Generate
Submitting starts the processing.
Submission cannot be cancelled. The external processing is billed the moment it is sent, and the reserved credits are consumed.
Processing takes a while. It continues even if you close the screen, so come back and check later. When it finishes you are shown several candidates and pick one.
When something goes wrong
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| The estimate button is disabled | Is the script finalised? Are any questions still unanswered? |
| Generation failed | The format and size of your reference images. Reserved credits are released, so you can retry |
| Generation never finishes | Press refresh. The processing is still running in the background |
| The result does not look like the product | Replace the reference images with less heavily edited ones and generate again |
After a failure you can run again from the same project. There is no need to start a new one.
Once it is finished, go on to Publishing your video and landing page.

Your answer tells us which pages need rewriting.
- The project name
- Which step it is stuck at (material, script, estimate, generation)
- The message shown on screen, word for word
